Country, university and living

Approximate location: The point is an approximate country or territory centroid, not university or accommodation coordinates.

This is a country-level default. A scholarship-specific institution in the record always replaces it.
Costs below use official national planning figures and explicitly identify the higher Tokyo rent benchmark.
2023 JASSO survey figure published by the official Study in Japan portal; personal and city costs vary.
Derived from the annual commuting line in the official 2025–2026 Study in Japan guide.
The official portal reports regional averages and notes that dormitory availability is limited.
This is the official guide's model arrival allowance, not a guaranteed hotel rate; live prices vary.
Based on the official annual food budget of JPY 384,000; dietary needs and eating out change the result.
A country-wide temperature would be misleading, so Mina7 links the official regional outlook instead.
The final route and documents depend on nationality, programme length, and the Japanese mission handling the application.
The official portal reports average part-time earnings near JPY 59,000 monthly and warns against financing study mainly through work.
Any future estimate must carry a source and verification date and is never treated as part of the scholarship funding. Accommodation and food prices are dynamic, while visa and work rules depend on nationality and residence status, so they remain unavailable until a scope-appropriate source is linked.
Expanded decision guide
These questions appear on every scholarship. Unknown remains unknown until a scope-appropriate source exists for the cycle, nationality and visa type; “fully funded” never automatically means every living cost is covered.
01Work during study — four separate rule sets+
This is the national immigration ceiling, not a job guarantee.
Obtain permission before starting and follow restricted-activity rules.
Country rules cannot prove that a specific award permits outside employment.
Institutional academic-load and internship rules may be stricter than the immigration maximum.
02Family, visa and arrival+
Check eligibility and financial evidence for each dependant before travel.
This is a Mina7 budgeting safeguard; only the award letter can confirm family coverage.
Family support, childcare and schooling have not been linked to the study location.
Exact steps vary by nationality and municipality; follow the host institution and embassy instructions.
03Funding adequacy and daily living+
Mina7 does not label funding sufficient until the record-specific stipend and covered items are compared.
Pre-arrival, deposit and pre-first-payment costs have not been calculated.
Apply early and budget deposits, utilities, furnishings, and commuting separately.
Home cooking is generally closer to the benchmark than frequent restaurant use.
The actual amount depends on the home-to-campus route and student-pass eligibility.
Bank requirements vary; carry an arrival reserve instead of relying on immediate account access.
04Climate, health, safety and inclusion+
Buy climate-specific clothing after confirming the city and arrival season.
Scholarship wording should be checked separately because insurance and medical costs are not automatically equivalent to full coverage.
Earthquake and severe-weather preparation is location-specific; register for local alerts.
The official tourism guide is a planning starting point; confirm campus facilities directly. · Document incidents and use emergency services for immediate danger.
05Travel, post-study options and outcomes+
This is a planning allowance, not a quoted airline fare from Saudi Arabia.
Graduation or scholarship completion does not itself grant work residence.
Use programme-specific published outcomes when available; Mina7 will not turn unrelated national data into a scholarship success rate. · This avoids presenting selected testimonials as measured programme outcomes.
